Countryside Productivity Scheme –Grants available

The Countryside Productivity Scheme, which is part of the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE), has grants available for which farmers can apply for. These grants are administered by the Rural Payments Agency (RPA).

There are various grants available and we would encourage all clients to look and see if there are any that particularly fit their enterprise. Please see below and click on the links for further information. Of particular interest to Pig Production two grants are currently available, although you will need to be speedy to apply with an outline application by the end of the month:

LED Lighting

There is a grant available to install LED lighting in non-intensive pig housing, where the farms have up to 2,000 pigs places over 30kg or 750 sows.

Real-time Monitoring

There is also a grant available for real-time monitoring of pig production through sensors, hardware and associated software that can monitor and control temperature, humidity, ventilation and electrical consumption in pig buildings.
